Trip to Hampstead yesterday yielded two beautiful John Fante editions from Black Sparrow Press and an amazing glimpse of Jupiter with three of its main moons through a telescope at the Hampstead Observatory! Jupiter’s four main moons are called Io, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto. The planet has 50 moons in total plus 14 provisional moons… Im not sure which ones we saw but they were beautiful!
The Hampstead Observatory is open as part of BBC Stargazing Live but is also open regularly for solar viewing and special events throughout the year.
